We’re mid-way through editing now. All I need, visually, is some footage of Kuwait from the first Gulf War. Burning oil wells in the desert would be good. I may have to make do with battlefield wreckage. The programme goes out on Wednesday 5th December at 10.35pm on ITV1 in Wales.

Yesterday, I went and paid the deposit at the restaurant for my leaving do. The waitress, Rachel, seemed to think I must be mad to give up such an interesting job. She may be right. We will see.
